Leader
of the Pack
In this economy, the efficient use of available
resources leads to success over competitors. This is
true for all organizations, from businesses to communities
competing for job creating opportunities. Here we provide
an overview of our practice areas.
Note: See
Representative Engagements for
examples of our work.
Policy Development
Services
Telecommunications is a private sector infrastructure prone
to monopolization due to barriers to entry and economies of
scale. The industry is impacted by government policies at
four levels: federal, state, county, and city. Economic
stability necessitates ongoing review and adjustment to
synchronize and streamline policies at all levels for
optimum consumer benefits.
Strategic Planning Services
Many organizations invoke periodic self-assessments, but
for those truly committed to excellence, an outside
planning entity offers several advantages, including: (1)
Impartiality; (2) Broader scope; (3) Freedom from internal
conflicts.
The staff at Technomethods has been expertly trained in
facilitation and mediation techniques, which have proven
valuable to the process of extracting core values
from client entities while mitigating conflicts that could
emerge as organizations shift focus. Technomethods
combines these "soft" skills with its in-house
technical and tactical expertise to provide clients with
unique analytical products. This confluence manifests as
the next generation of creative evolution that provides
our clients with unique and effective outcomes.
If your
organization seeks a progressive planning approach with
deliverables that will effectively differentiate and
accelerate organizational prosperity, then Technomethods
is your planning company.
Assessment
We offer a
variety of assessment products to our clients. These include:
opportunity assessments, market assessments, situational
assessments, and technology assessments.
Many organizations recognize a need for change, but require
assistance defining the scope of their needs. In these cases,
we recommend an opportunity assessment. A Market Assessment
identifies market entry and demand points, and may include
test marketing and focus groups. The Situational Assessment is
a subcomponent of a larger strategic planning process, but may
also be applied in a smaller scale to determine the nature of
strategic positioning that should be considered. A Technology
Assessment identifies workflows and operational needs in the
context of whether the most appropriate or contemporary
technology has been deployed.
Infrastructure Development
The information economy can be distilled to the process of
developing, adding value and/or reselling information.
Effective and cost-effective data transmission is the fulcrum
of the Information Economy. As such, it sometimes becomes
necessary to develop new resources to circumvent bottlenecks
that threaten to suffocate growth.
We specialize in developing alternative telecommunications
networks for communities, regions and states. We can also use
our experience to help companies reduce the cost of their
telecommunications infrastructure.
Economic Development
We have significant experience in economic development; that
is, the process of structuring economies by optimizing
business climates for job creation. We also offer site
selection services to firms interested in locating communities
that understand their business and are motivated to develop
mutually beneficial solutions. A component of this practice
area is evaluating and negotiating infrastructure and site
development options.
